In continuation to our efforts to assist the students to get accustomed to global business practices, SYMPHONY, the MBA Batch of Fall 2017, shall be travelling to Singapore for a one-of-a-kind study cum recreational tour entitled International Exposure – ‘Inspiring the Future’ from February 23 – March 4, 2018. The Program has been designed to enable the students to explore a foreign country via well planned and interactive classroom sessions conducted by seasoned speakers and trainers, visit prominent business organizations and participate in face to face interactions with successful business leaders and corporate professionals of Singapore.SYMPHONY, the MBA Batch of Fall 2017 are all set to onboard a journey where they can soak in the insights of seasoned professionals and business leaders as well as enjoy a memorable experience in vibrancy of Singapore.
Caroline Josephine Dawson
Caroline has an extensive experience of more than 17 years as an editor of lifestyle and technical
publications and 15 years of teaching business management, environment and soft skills
communication. She has provided counseling and coaching to many multicultural individuals and
teams through her numerous local and foreign corporate exposures and has also mentored fellow
educators in developing their professional skills.
Caroline shall be facilitating the session on Problem Solving and Innovation Techniques – the 6
Thinking Hats Methodology in the International Exposure, where students will learn about the
life changing concept of ‘Parallel Thinking’ by using Bono’s 6 Thinking Hats. Bono’s 6 Thinking
Hats is a popular methodology in which each hat represents a particular style of thinking. With
this concept, students shall learn to incorporate creative thinking in their personal and professional
Panelists for Student Presentations:
Students shall be making group presentations regarding their two field visits in the International Exposure on Day 7 of the Exposure. They shall have separate reverse presentations for the field visits and the presentations shall be judged by expert panelists. They shall also receive instant feedbacks on their presentations. Nitin has 20 years of multi-disciplinary experience in Banking for B2B customers. He has worked for renowned global banks including Citibank, ABN Amro, RBS and DBS and has lived in four countries. In his regional role at DBS, he specializes in working on Customer Journeys, Design Thinking and the Measurement of CX. Apart from his profession, he mentors students as a part of the Polyfintech100.SG initiative and is closely involved as guide for SME on multiple digital/innovation initiatives in Asia.
Prashant an MBA Graduate from Otago University, New Zealand, is the Commercial Director, Asia Pacific at DSM Nutritional Products which has its headquarters in the Netherlands. Prior to
DSM, he has had elaborate corporate experience of more than 15 years at organizations like Cap Gemini, Bearing Point, Air New Zealand, Fonterra and Kerry Asia Pacific.
Santosh is the Country Officer at International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), Nepal. He holds MBA degree from Tribhuvan University and the London Metropolitan University, Prior to the World Bank he has held various corporate roles in Himalayan Bank and Siddhartha
Bank, Nepal. Santosh likes to teach and mentor students and young professionals.
